This is a current live brief that we have been given at university for The Oswin Project.

The Organisation plan to sponsor ex-offenders, giving them construction skills training and a years work experience on local renovation projects.

Because of their focus on construction and renovation I have purposefully created a identity to look industrial, strong, masculine and reminiscent of major construction assessment scheme and accreditation such as CHAS and Constructionline.

A key point that the Organisation founder made was that The Oswin Project wants to help “Break the cycle of re-offending”. I have made a point in ensuring the brand does not contain any ex-offender/charity connotations or references to maximise the success of the ex-offenders future in employment, so I have used a simple broken circle (broken cycle) for the logo which is reminiscent of CHAS which is one of the largest construction assesment schemes in the UK.
